SERIES8 Omnidirectional Collection
The SERIES8 omnidirectional collection is offered in three popular styles: headset, earworn, and lavalier. The omnidirectional pattern assures ease in fitting with a natural vocal sound well suited for low to moderate noise environments. Its circular pickup pattern adapts exceptionally well to a wide array of mic’ing applications.
All SERIES8 omni microphones handle up to 148dB max SPL, carry an IP57 waterproof rating against water, sweat, and makeup, and feature Point Source Audio’s “Unbreakable” boom that bends to 360 degrees without damage.
CO-8WD Headset Microphone
The headset model features maximum ease in fitting and placement. The dual ear loops are reversible for left or right wearing, and collapsible for protection during storage or travel. Includes pre-mounted microphone, body clip, and windscreen. This is the most popular choice for theatrical productions where quick mic swaps between actors are common.
CO-8WS Earworn Microphone
The single over-ear model is a lighter, less visible option than the full headset. It wears on either ear and is ideal for applications where minimal visibility is important but the security of an ear-mounted mic is still needed.
CO-8WL Lavalier Microphone
The low-profile miniature lavalier is ideal when camouflaging is key, particularly in theater or broadcast applications where the microphone must be hidden in hair, costumes, or clothing.
EMBRACE Microphones
EMBRACE microphones are custom-fit ear-mounted microphones designed for theater, television, and other on-camera applications with strict camouflaging requirements. They combine a SERIES8 lavalier microphone with shapeable, trimmable earmounts that can be custom-fitted in seconds. The Slider mic clips allow precise positioning of the microphone element.
X-Connector System
Every Point Source Audio microphone comes with one X-Connector of your choosing for termination to your wireless system. The X-Connectors have a threaded screw connection so they are simple to remove but remain secure while in use. This means a single microphone can work with Sennheiser, Shure, Audio-Technica, or any other wireless bodypack simply by swapping the connector.
