Why ETC Luminaires?
When selecting theatrical luminaires, it is difficult to surpass ETC in design, functionality, and warranty. As an authorized ETC dealer in Kansas City, we’ve installed thousands of ETC fixtures in theaters, schools, houses of worship, and event venues, and we can say with confidence that ETC delivers on quality.
ETC is unsurpassed in offering a full 5-year warranty on LED luminaires, plus an additional 5 years on the LED emitter array. That’s 10 years of coverage on the most critical component of the fixture.
The ETC Source 4 ERS
The ETC Source 4 ERS (Elliptical Reflector Spotlight) has become ubiquitous in the theatre market, with over 3.7 million units sold worldwide. It combines the energy-saving power of the patented HPL lamp with a dichroic reflector and optical-quality lenses for the coolest beam on the market. That means your gels, patterns, and shutters last longer and your performance space stays cooler.
Since its introduction in 1992, barring a few minor tweaks, ETC has maintained the original design. For that reason, there is literally nothing on a Source 4 which cannot be repaired or replaced.
ColorSource Spot V
The ColorSource Spot V is ETC’s entry-level LED profile luminaire. It uses a 4-color mixing system (rather than simple RGB) for better white light and more accurate color rendering. It’s a great choice for schools, community theaters, and houses of worship looking to transition from incandescent to LED without a massive budget increase.
Source 4 Lustr Series 2
The Source Four LED Series 2 revolutionizes LED lighting. With optimized arrays and finely-tuned electronics, Series 2 offers a combination of light quality and output that cannot be matched. Source Four LED Series 2 Lustr luminaires are based on the x7 Color System, utilizing seven colors including high-output lime to achieve true, usable broad-spectrum color with a depth and feel beyond any RGB fixture.
Series 2 light engines work with all Source Four lens tubes to deliver a high-quality, controllable beam of LED light. For the best results, we highly recommend EDLT lens tubes.
Source 4 Lustr Series 3
Over a decade of research comes together in the Source Four LED Series 3 fixture. ETC brings the eight-color Lustr X8 array and the tunable white light Daylight HDR array to the professional stage. The deep red LEDs in both arrays reveal richer skin tones, bring a deeper dimension to your scenery, and add warmth to sunsets and firelight.
Additional features include wireless DMX/RDM through City Theatrical’s Multiverse technology, contactless programming and control using NFC and ETC’s Set Light app, and an intuitive user interface featuring a color picker and action-responsive backlit encoders.
LED vs. Conventional: A Note on Terminology
The term “Ellipsoidal” or “Elliptical Reflector Spotlight” doesn’t properly apply to LED profile luminaires, as they do not utilize elliptical reflectors. They still offer interchangeable lens tubes, shutter cuts, hard focus, and gobo projection; however, since the LED array is a flat plane, there is significantly reduced halation.
