Sennheiser Evolution Wireless 300/500 G4 Systems
The Sennheiser Evolution Wireless 300/500 G4 series is a professional-grade wireless microphone system trusted by theaters, houses of worship, schools, and corporate venues worldwide. As an authorized Sennheiser partner, XS Lighting & Sound sells custom wireless packages from our Kansas City showroom.
Choosing Handheld vs. Bodypack
The first decision is whether you need handheld microphones (great for singers, presenters, and panel discussions) or bodypack transmitters with lavalier microphones (ideal for theater and public speakers where hands-free operation is required). Many venues purchase a mix of both to cover different use cases.
Custom Package Sizes
We configure Sennheiser wireless packages in sizes from 1 to 16 channels. Each package includes the EM 500 receivers, your choice of SKM 500 handheld transmitters (with e 935 cardioid capsules) or SK 500 bodypacks (with MKE2 gold lavalier mics), ASA 214 active antenna splitters, and all necessary antenna distribution cables.
Package Components
- EM 500 Receiver: Professional rackmount receiver with true diversity reception
- SKM 500 Handheld: Rugged handheld transmitter with interchangeable capsules
- SK 500 Bodypack: Compact bodypack transmitter for lavalier and headset microphones
- ASA 214 Antenna Splitter: Active antenna distribution with DC power for up to 4 receivers, eliminating the need for individual antennas on each receiver
Why Buy as a Package?
Purchasing a complete package from XS ensures all your frequencies are properly coordinated to avoid intermodulation (when transmitters interfere with each other). We also include all the antenna distribution cables needed for clean rack installation, something that is easy to overlook when buying components individually.
Antenna Distribution
For any system with more than 2 channels, antenna distribution is essential. The ASA 214 distributes antenna signal and DC power to up to 4 receivers. For larger systems, multiple ASA units are cascaded together. Proper antenna placement (above audience level, line-of-sight to stage) is critical for reliable performance. See our RF Venue antenna systems guide for more details.
